Hmmm another good effort. Man I love water :-) There seems to be some wb issues between your images in the stich as the fg is brown and the waterfall is blue.

I think its because the waterfall was in shade but the foreground was in sun. If you see the trees have the same wb the whole way up. I could do some selective wb adjustment tho.

Might be a good idea...maybe a b/w conversion? Cloudy conditions definitely help :-)

i love long exposure too. its like you're adding a fourth dimension to what you see in a photo :-)

That large boulder in the foreground does quite work for me, maybe the water? Anyway like the other this is very good. Perhaps you should pick your favourite of the two? they are quite similar!

does work or doesnt? and what about the water?
Id say compositionally I prefer this to the other, it just annoys me about the water being so cold. If I adjust the white balance, it effects the other 75% of the photo too much.

maybe the water itself could have made a stronger foreground. I think the blue water is nice

Again I was limited to where I could be and with my lens. I think this was the best I could do with what I had... Its not perfect but I dont think its awful!

That’s a beauty man, not really much to criticize accept that the main falls at the back might be too central and the compo may have been better if it was on the right third but I don't know what else was around so you may have made the best of the situation.

Yeah it was prity much just bush either side of me, I dont think I need to be that anal about the rule of thirds, if you really want to get into it, the photo is actually broken up into thirds from side to side with the bush, cliff then bush again... its not exact but it has balance which is what the rule of thirds achieves anyway. I would see no need to place the waterfall on the right third or whatever. Im not so into following rules as such, just what looks good, you know!

True, the photo works well as is I was just saying what I would have done if I was there and if it was possible to do it. Yeah I say rule of thirds but it isn't, it's just a guide which works with a lot of my shots but with my Mt. Tongariro shots the centered version looks better than the one using rule of thirds.
